Meet Our CEO
My name is Maya, born and raised in the South Side of Pittsburgh known to many as “The Zhoove” or Beltzhoover. I was just 11 years old when my father taught me how to braid on the front porch of our family home, as he began his own hair journey. From that moment, my passion for hair only grew.
Today, I am a mastered braider with 18 years of experience, specializing in healthy, protective styles for both men and women. In 2022, I proudly earned my cosmetology license.
My mission is to help every client whether they come in for a bold transformation, a protective style, or simple upkeep to recognize the natural beauty and confidence they already carry within.
When you sit in my chair, it’s not just about hair it’s about self-care, self-love, and understanding that investing in yourself is a necessity, not a luxury.
